Our Sunday Gatherings provide an opportunity for us to meet together to learn from God’s word and enjoy each other’s fellowship.
Morning service: 10:30am
Join us for our all-age family worship service.
A creche is available throughout the service as well as age-specific classes run during the services for children and young people in Pre-school to Year 11 (3-16 years of age).
To get to the church building, use this link to find DIRECTIONS TO CAMBRAY or use the map below.
When you arrive for the Sunday Service
There are purpose-built ramps for wheelchair access to the main church and also wheelchair lift access down to the Halls to the back of the church building.
When you come into the building, someone will greet you at the door, guide you inside, and, if you are a visitor, will check if you have any questions or need to know anything more.
Please feel free to sit where you like. At the moment we have both socially distanced seating and 'group of 6' seating - you will be directed to the seating area you request.
If you want to listen using the induction loop (for those with hearing difficulties) you will find it works best if you sit towards the centre, downstairs. If you use a hearing aid, please switch it to the loop ('T') setting.
Toilets can be found to the right hand side as you enter the foyer and also through the doors to the left of the platform (turn left and along the corridor), along with two disabled toilets.
What's it like?
The service, which typically lasts about 1.5 hours, will normally consist of singing, Bible reading(s), some prayers and a talk.
If you have children, they can either sit with you or join the other children in the front rows. During most Sunday morning services the children aged 3-16 leave for their own fun-filled Bible groups (Glow Sundays and Sunday Youth) part way through. These activities are run by helpers who are DBS checked. We also have a crèche for the under 3s.
No offering or collection is taken. Rather Church members are encouraged to give directly through the banking system. However for those who wish to give cash, boxes are available by the doors on the way out.
After the morning service there is usually a chance for tea, coffee or a soft drink, served in the front courtyard when the weather is good and towards the rear of the downstairs area of the church at other times. It's a great chance to catch up with others and to find out more about church life at Cambray.
Wherever possible, each Small Group have been holding their own 'virtual' meetings through Zoom virtual Conferencing or other online tools. In recent weeks, many groups have started to meet in person either in gardens or indoors. See your Small Group leader for details.
If you have come into Cheltenham for the first time and you want to join a Small Group during this time of crisis, please use our Small Groups page to contact the Small Groups Coordinator who will link you to a group.
Our Youth and Children are meeting as usual. Their meetings are also being announced through the Church Calendar.
Pastoral Care is being provided through Small Groups and their associated Care Groups. If you are not currently a part of one of our Small Groups and would like to join, see our Small Groups page to contact the Small Groups Coordinator.
In addition, through our Small Groups we are pairing all our people up by forming 'Prayer Partners'. Again, contact your Small Group Leader for more details.
We also have a large
central Pastoral Care team able to respond to situations as they arise -
contact one of the Pastors if you need to access this. Similarly we have a large group of people who are willing to Help Practically - if you need help in collecting shopping, medication or with hospital trips.
